Curriculum & Examination
  • Students are prepared for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education examunatjon (Class X) and the Indian School Certificate examination (Class X"). The School year is from April to March.
  • Courses taught-at the School are so geared that the pupils offer suitable combtnatjons of the following subjects in the Final Examination: English Language. English Literature, Bengali. Hindi. Physics, Chemistry. Mathematics, Biology. Computer Science, History. Geography, Commerce, Economics, Accounts and Business Studies. Hindi or Bengali is taught as a third language. There are also regular courses in Art. Craft, Elocution, Music, SUPW and P.T. Special care is taken to advise students regarding the optional courses most suitable to them.
  • Two main examinations are held each year. These are followed by a Parent / Teacher meeting and the distribution of results. Promotion to the next class is made on the results of these examinations and on the basis of unit test results. Should a boy fail to pass the March promotion examination, he cannot be promoted to a higher class.
  • Special arrangements cannot be made for pupils who are absent from the main examinations or any part of them. In special cases the school authority may review the answer scripts.
